Women have always worn lipstick to make themselves and there lips more noticeable and attractive. Lips are thought to be, a sensual part of the body, and highlighting them make women more attractive.
Colors, textures, ingredients have changed over the centuries, but the purpose of wearing lipstick remains the same. To express inner beauty on outer self.
Lipstick goes back to 3500 BC. When men and women of Egypt use lipstick as a status symbol rather than gender. Women in ancient Greece wore a red lipstick. The red color came to Greece from Palestine. During the Islamic Golden Age, the notable Andalusian cosmetologist Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi (Abulcasis) invented solid lipsticks, which were perfumed sticks rolled and pressed in special molds, and he described them in his Al-Tasrif Arabic encyclopedia of medicine. Lipstick became the symbol of femininity in the early 1900 ’s. The tube of lipstick that it is added today it was invented in 1923 by James Bruce Mason Jr. In the 1970’s bright colors came along. 1980’s the red color was the ‘’it’’ color. Later more natural colors ‘’nude’’ became a big hit. By the start of 2000’s lipstick represented $94 Billion in sales of the cosmetic industry.
In the question why women wear lipstick? I will answer. It defines your hole look. The color of your lipstick can make you look:
Like a boss.
Like a lady.
Like a trendsetter.
My friend Maria Tasoglouwill will tell you on the other hand. “LIPSTICK !! Because without I feel naked”!!!
Thank God now that technology has advanced we can have an amazing color on our lips. Without breaking the bank.

I LOVE my @nyxcosmetics_arabia red lipstick no8. My Sister Rania was the one that bought me my first lipstick. I was 16 years old and remember it like it was yesterday. Clinique lipstick color “Apple Sause”. As she gave it to me she told me “Wear it! So you can have some color on you, otherwise, peppole think you are dead”. The truth is that I am very pale and I have to wear a full makeup so I can look healthy. So when I wanted to skip work and be sent home I just did not wear makeup, and it worked every time !!!!
No matter the style of your lipstick, sharp, bold, dramatic, natural, translucent or simply over drown. Will instantly make you feel more beautiful and confident. Furthermore, confidence will automatically change the posture of your body, to taller with shoulders back. Also, it helps your lips to get hydrated and to be protected from the sun. Lipstick manufacturers have added sun protection to the ingredients.
It is undeniable that a woman’s lipstick is part of the essentials, and it exists in a woman’s bag. In mine, I have minimum 5 that the 4 are a different shade of red and 1 fushia.
